WHY FOLDERS?
Hundreds of QR codes, still easy to find
When you manage QR codes for many clients, departments or locations, one long list quickly gets out of hand. Folders keep related codes together, organized the way you work.
Organize it your way
Create folders for clients, departments, QR types, branches or campaigns, add an optional note, and keep every QR code where it belongs.
Filter and summary
Pick a folder to filter the list and see its QR count, total scans, and how many codes are expiring or have expired.
Move in bulk
Tick the QR codes you need and move up to 1,000 at once into a folder, or take them out of a folder just as easily.
Export to Excel
Export a folder as a CSV file with links, status, expiry dates and scan counts, ready to share with your client.
STEP BY STEP
How to Use QR Code Folders
Create a folder
Open “Folders” in your dashboard, click “New folder”, name it after a client, department, QR type or project, and save.
Move your QR codes
Click “Select”, tick the QR codes you want and choose “Move to folder”. You can also create a new folder in the same step.
Filter, track and export
Choose the folder in the “Folder / Client” filter to see only its codes and summary, then export the list to CSV when you need it.
FOLDER IDEAS
One feature, many ways to organize
Name a folder after whatever matters to you. Folders are an organizing layer: your credits stay in one shared pool, and nothing about the printed QR codes changes.
Departments and teams
Give marketing, HR, sales and operations their own folders so each team finds its business cards, posters and forms in seconds.
QR types
Keep business cards, menus, PDFs and product codes in separate folders and see each group’s scans and expiry dates.
Clients
Printers and agencies keep each client’s codes in their own folder and send a CSV report when it’s time to renew.
Branches and campaigns
Separate codes by branch, event or season and compare which location or campaign gets the most scans.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I create a folder?
In your dashboard, open “Folders”, click “New folder”, enter a name and an optional note, and save. You can also create a folder while moving QR codes with “Create and move”.
What can I organize folders by?
Anything you like: clients, departments such as marketing, HR or sales, QR types such as business cards, menus or PDFs, branches, projects or campaigns. A folder is simply a name with an optional note, so you choose the structure.
Do folders cost extra?
No. Folders are included for every Qrcodeg user at no extra cost. Your QR credits stay in one shared pool, so you don’t need separate accounts or packages for each client.
Can a QR code be in more than one folder?
No. Each QR code belongs to at most one folder, which keeps summaries and exports clear. QR codes without a folder are listed under “No folder”.
What happens to my QR codes if I delete a folder?
Nothing. The QR codes are not deleted and keep working; they simply move to “No folder”.
Does moving a QR code change its link or printed code?
No. Folders only organize your dashboard. The QR code image, its short link and its scan history stay exactly the same.
How many folders can I create?
You can create up to 500 folders and move up to 1,000 QR codes in a single step.
Can I share a folder’s report with my client?
Yes. Filter the list by the client’s folder and export it as a CSV file that opens in Excel. It includes each QR code’s name, type, link, status, creation and expiry dates and scan count.
Can new QR codes go straight into a folder?
Yes. If you start creating a QR code while a folder is selected, the new code is added to that folder. A note on the creation screen shows this, and you can remove it before saving.
